Thrifting!!

Thrifting is by far one of my favorite things so do! There is nothing better than being immersed in treasures from the past! Looking at a piece of art and asking yourself, “How can I use this?” How can I repurpose this?”

I have to admit, there are two other reasons why I love thrifting. One – the price is always amazing!!! and Two – very rarely do other people, today, have it!

When you purchase something at a thrift store you receive the automatic ok, to use the piece for something other than what it is designed for! This is when you can be creative! I found this copper bread box at a local flea market, and fell in love with it. I knew I had to have it.

Now, thrifting is always a better experience when you go with someone else! This time I had a dear friend with me and he quickly informed me that there was a canister set in copper that would go great with my new found copper bread box and that I had to get it! It’s a good thing I let him talk me into getting it because I love my new copper pieces!

You may be thinking – Is that a bread box and canister set in a bathroom? Well your answer is, Yes! Remember I said, that thrifting gives you the automatic ok, to use a piece for something other than what it is designed for, well this is exactly what I did!
