WORDS .
Something I am not very good at. I can’t ever seem to think of the right word to say at the right time. Then hours later I find the perfect word, but at this point the moment is over. Or worse, I choose the wrong word to say and wish I could take it back. But mostly, I just stand there with a smile on my face, hoping someone will fill it in for me. (that can be a risky move, as I let others speak for me)
Lately, I’m challenging myself to think about every word that comes out of my mouth. To only speak truth and allow the words I choose to speak, shine the light of Jesus Christ to those I’m speaking to.
Who are we if we can’t speak for ourselves?
Who do we become if we let our words “increase the darkness?”
Who do we hurt?
A few simple questions that have me thinking and deciding to speak in ways that “give the light of Christ.”
Who’s with me?! Let’s let the light of Christ shine through every word we choose!!
